More Information

All our bin liners are certified compostable according to the European standard EN 13432 and bear the Seedling logo. They are also certified for home composting under the TÜV Austria OK compost HOME programme.

Designed for strength
These extra-thick liners feature a star-sealed base, where the bottom is gathered and sealed to provide added strength. This helps reduce the risk of splitting when carrying food waste, without reducing the usable capacity of the liner.

Did you know?

Our bin liners are made from a blend of corn starch and PBAT. Corn starch is a renewable, plant-derived material, helping reduce the amount of conventional fossil-based plastic used in the formulation. PBAT provides the flexibility and strength needed for everyday use, while remaining biodegradable under composting conditions.

During composting, microorganisms gradually break down both the starch and the biodegradable polyester structure, converting the material into carbon dioxide, water and biomass. Together, these materials give the liner the strength needed for everyday use while allowing it to break down under the right composting conditions.
